IEButton (Intentionally Enhanced button) is a compliment to buttons found in the AWT and the Java Foundation Classes and is designed for use by software developers who want a button that looks like buttons found in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 and Netscape Navigator 4. It works with Java 1.1 or 1.2. In summary it's features are:

• The button 'lights up' when the cursor passes over it.
• It can have an image only or image with text label in various positions or text only.
• The button's image can be grayed out when the cursor is not over the button.
• The button's image can be an icon or can occupy the whole button.
• A popup text 'tooltip' can be added.
• Any button can be 'sticky' so that it stays down when pressed.
• A sticky button can belong to a group where only one button can be depressed at a time.
• The button can repeatedly fire ActionEvent's if held down.
• Can show focus received/lost and be depressed via the keyboard for accessibility.

It is a lightweight component written in Java 1.1 and can operate with or without the JFC Swing component set. It is supplied as a JavaBean as well as unzipped class files so that developers can zip it back up into their JAR files. JavaDoc generated documentation is supplied, as well as a comprehensive demonstration program.
