Creating MidiJoiner output in the SMAF (.mmf) format

Once you have used MidiJoiner to create a new midi, you can use the free Yamaha ATS-MA2 converter to create an .mmf file for Sharp (GX10,GX20,GX25,GX30) or Samsung (E100,E108,E330,E630,E700.E708,E800,E808,E820,X100,X108,X600,X608) phones.

Trouble shooting instruments that don't turn off

If instruments in a clip used in MidiJoiner are not correctly turned off at the end of the clip, then the instrument can keep playing in the next clip, or indeed throughout the rest of the new midi. If this is a problem use MidiJoiner's sister product, MidiCutter to create clips with correct terminations.

Reducing the size of MidiJoiner output to a minimum

MidiSqueezer is a sister product which can reduce midi file size to a minimum for mobile phones by taking out extraneous information such as copyright and author data as well as lyrics and synthesizer specific data. This can help make midi files created with MidiJoiner as small as possible.
