Thumbnail quality
ThumbFactory uses an advanced pixel averaging technique that can produce some of the
best thumbnails you will see on the net.
The computational requirements of the technique employed
may cause ThumbFactory to appear slightly slower than other thumbnailers as it generates images.
Supported file formats
The current version of ThumbFactory thumbnails GIF, JPEG , BMP and PNG images and always writes
thumbnails as JPEGs.
Try before you buy
The shareware version of ThumbFactory has full functionality and can be trialled for 30 days.
Please try the product out before buying it.
Installing Java to run the product
To run Thumbfactory you will need to install Java 2 which is a free download from Sun.
Once Java 2 is installed and the
product is downloaded and unzipped, Windows users should just double click the "TFactory.jar"
file to start the application and create thumbnails. At this time the product is not supplied in a self-installing
form that can create entries in the "Start" menu and place itself in the "Program File" folder.
In PC terms a 233Mhz Pentium with 32 MByte of memory is the minimum
recommended hardware. If the user interface looks all wrong on a Windows98 PC when you start
the program then you should turn down (or off) your PC's graphics acceleration.
